We last heard from ex-gay grifter Jeffrey McCall in June 2022 when he led another ex-gay “Freedom March” in Washington DC several months after a Facebook post in which he confessed to hooking up with multiple men.
From that day’s Christian Post report:
Declaring their testimonies of how Jesus has transformed their lives, formerly LGBT-identified young men and women gathered in Washington, D.C., Saturday for the Freedom March. Gathered next to the Washington Monument for what has become an annual event in the nation’s capital, the hosts of the march continue to see the Holy Spirit doing remarkable work in the lives of people who reach out to them.
Jeffrey McCall, founder of the Freedom March, said he’s amazed by how the Lord is stirring among younger people. Since 2018, when the first march took place, their growing tribe of formerly LGBT-identified people has become especially close. “We call each other, do Bible studies together, encourage each other. It’s built a family. It’s a young family,” McCall told the Christian Post.
Well, here’s the latest from McCall:
I wanted to post here before some people found out other ways. I have went back to my life as Scarlett. I never intended to hurt or disappoint anyone.
I felt like no matter what I chose someone would get hurt. That’s a horrible spot to be in. felt like I tried to fight for so long. I tried to help many in ministry for so long.
Please remember I’m just a human being and didn’t ask for any of things that I have went through. I didn’t ask to feel this way.
Please show me compassion as a human being just as I have always tried to show everyone else compassion and understanding.
In 2021, McCall was featured in the Netflix “ex-gay” documentary “Pray Away” and his appearance in the film resulted in adulatory posts on multiple Christian sites.
