Former Trump Aide Jason Miller: Corker Should Resign If He Can’t Support Trump’s “Conservative Principles”

The Hill reports:

Jason Miller, a former aide to President Trump, on Monday suggested Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) resign following his feud with the president, arguing Tennessee’s governor could appoint Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) to take his place.

“And look, if Senator Corker is retiring and he doesn’t want to be in the U.S. Senate and he doesn’t want to support President Trump and doesn’t want to support such basic conservative principles, he should just resign,” Miller told CNN’s “New Day.”

“Let the governor of Tennessee go and appoint a conservative like Marsha Blackburn, the congresswoman who’s running to replace Senator Corker and get somebody in there who’s actually going to support the president.”

Miller resigned from the Trump team after he was exposed as the adulterous baby daddy of another member of the Trump team. Conservative principles!

    Trump has principles?! BWAHAHAHAHA!

  • Gerry Fisher

Corker broke ranks, and they can’t blame it on brain cancer. Fellow Republican tribe members are freaking out. Good!

    • Chucktech

No, they can blame it Corker’s inability to be spanked for having the temerity to tell the fucking truth. Probably sticks in his throat to do so.

  • clay

Fuck you, you traitorous whore. Three co-equal branches, nitwit. If you don’t support that then move the fuck off to Russia where the Premier controls the President and the Duma and the courts (and the regional governments).

    • Steve Teeter

What does he want? Total, unquestioning loyalty to the party leader, no matter what? That’s worked out so well around the world in the last century or so, hasn’t it.

  • AW

    LOL… Trump doesn’t have “Principles”

  • Steve Smith

Oxymoron of the day. “Conservative” and “principles”.

  • Chucktech

And just why the fuck should he do that?? Fuck off.

BTW, while I commend Corker on calling out Trump as the moronic man-baby he is, it just galls me to death that all the punditry is saying, “Well, now that Corker doesn’t have to worry about re-election, he can say what’s truly on his mind.” That’s what “Leadership” is reduced to, isn’t it? As long as you’ve run out of fucks to give, you can speak the truth. Gag me.

    • Nowhereman

I hear that! Call me callous, but I wonder if McCain is waiting for his follow-up medical check up before he decides if he’s going to actually do something to stop Trump.

      • GayOldLady

I feel ridiculous defending Corker, but I think it’s important to get it right. Corker was speaking out before he announced that he wasn’t running for reelection. In August Corker said “The president has not yet been able to demonstrate the ability or competence to be successful”. In fact I think it was because he was speaking out and was going to continue to speak out that he decided not to seek reelection.

        Take a listen

Ahh, good times. 🙁 Make it stop!!

          • GayOldLady

I despise Marsha, not just because she belongs to the GOP but because she is a tea party conservative. She lives near me and I’ve heard her speak publicly on several occasions. I’ve used each and every occasion to heckle her. One of her supporters in TN is a right-wing talk show host, Phil Valentine. He and I have had some major confrontations in email and I once confronted him as he was broadcasting live in downtown Nashville. I’ve not harassed them, but I’ve made a point of making sure that both of them know who I am.

          • Joe in PA

You go girl! Good job. So, what’s the TN buzz on her senate chances? Well, I should say primary chances before I jump the gun. She has some name recognition as it is. 🙁

          • GayOldLady

Well we have a Governor, Bill Haslam, who I think has his eye on the job. If he gets in I don’t think Blackburn will challenge him because she can’t beat him. Apparently the “father” has nothing to do with this. The court took this action when the mother filed for child support.

        • John30013

Unfortunately, since the rapist pled down to a lesser charge (sounds like he might have had friends in high places, if you ask me), the 2015 law allowing the state to terminate his parental rights doesn’t apply since he wasn’t *convicted* of rape.

I’m guessing the order for the mother to return to Michigan is because that’s where she’s seeking child support from.

This sounds like a hole in the law, but more likely is the result of the plea deal. It’s sad, but I think the mother is screwed (again) by the justice system.

    Bill Kristol to Jason Miller:

“They think Republican senators and congressmen were sent there to rubber stamp whatever Trump wants. And not just rubber stamp, but never say anything critical. Bob Corker was elected by the citizens of Tennessee. He has the same status as an elected officials and other senators. He owes them his six years of service, his candor, his best judgment. I wish he had exercised it a little earlier… You’re there to do whatever Donald Trump says. If Donald Trump says jump, you say how high? And if you say something critical — Corker didn’t even vote against Donald Trump, for God’s sake, unlike John McCain and Susan Collins. But if you say something critical, boy, you have somehow betrayed the team. That is a very pernicious view of how politics works.”

For this we fought and won a war of independence.

      Read Advise and Consent.

It depends on whether the Senator can be blackmailed.

  • Pip

I love how he was a beloved good ol’ boy, until he said something against Mr Vice President Daddy Issues.

  • Ken M

    “Former” aka who cares?

  • No More GOP.

None of the mentioned parties have conservative principles of any kind. Conservatism hasn’t existed in decades (or ever). What we have now has nothing to do with conserving anything at all.

  • canoebum

I feel like I’ve awakened in a bad episode of the Twilight Zone. Someone please tell me all this isn’t real. Please.

  • Halou

I don’t like this guy’s politics, so I think the Governor should cut ahead of the democratic process and appoint a replacement. Conservative principles, indeed.

  • northern_neighbour

Although Lizard down thread calls him a JackAss, this rather Fat Fascist grifting traitor to the American Constitution looks to me more like a snorting Pig ready to
schmooze up all the free truffles from the Patronage/Lobbyist Gravy Train.

But whether a JackAss, a Pig, or a horizontal version of a mouth Pussy, (see comments down thread) … he IS definitely ON THE TAKE …

And what is it that he isn’t? … He ain’t a U.S. patriot that is 100% for sure.

He IS 100% a SOCIOPATH however. SO FUCK HIM ALL THE WAY TO HELLFIRE FOREVER. He deserves at least that much from the Teavangelicals alone, although he doesn’t actually believe a single word of their BullCrap. A naked OPPORTUNIST with no moral compass.

And as for Marsha Blackburn, RINSE and REPEAT! What a KKK …( insert word) here … of a B*E*O*T*C*H is She. The vicious little hussy.

  • BeaverTales

Yeah, right…. but Trump doesn’t have any principles.

  • justme

    Jason Miller aka Alex Jones??

  • Clive Johnson

I’m sure he does continue to support conservative principles, principles like:

-Restoration of arbitrary racial, gender, sexual and religious hierarchy with white Christian heterosexual males on top and everyone else assigned to various degrees of suspicion, legal subaltern status, and arbitrary social and economic barriers.
-The systematic and comprehensive transfer of wealth from everyone to the top through the use of the tax code, regulation/deregulation, subsidy, high levels of tolerated white collar crime, and more.
-The minimization or removal of corporate accountability for harms to people and environment.
-The de-democratization of the republic through voter suppression efforts.
-Anti-science and anti-intellectualism in general in media and public policy.
-Promotion of nationalist myth, and erasure of history that doesn’t conform to it.
    -Etc.

Ugliest goddam goatee in the history of man. Someone needs to hold that motherfucker down while someone else shaves his ugly face.

    • Ann Kah

      With a blunt axe?

      • Gianni

        That’s one solution. 🙂

  • Nowhereman

Here’s a news flash for you: CONGRESS DOES NOT WORK FOR THE PRESIDENT.

  • yes b’y
    • -M-

Gah! If you averaged them out you’d have one ugly person with a reasonable body mass index.

  • HappyDance904

Talking about his face in the voice of Ms. Coco Peru, “That bothas me!!”

  • -M-

Senators don’t work for the White House.

Trump and Blackburn and Miller’s only principles are graft, bigotry, and authoritarianism.

  • Howard Roark

This guys mouth is too small for his fat head.

  • Ann Kah

We get it, Jason. Corker won’t rubber stamp the pres. Get used to seeing a lot more of that.

  • Gianni

Trump has conservative principles? Donnie has only one basic principle – He’s Number One and will get whatever he can for himself, the rest of us and the country notwithstanding.

  • dagobarbz, fine Italian shoes

Hey Pudgy, Trump has no principles, and neither do you.

  • TheManicMechanic

Trust no one with their eyes that close together. He must have the depth perception of a gnat.

  • Grumpy Old Man

I know we are not supposed to be snide about someone’s looks but who the fuck told him to grow pubic hair around his mouth?! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/81acb25e4545e59dcb8af04955d783a5d4ab2be7156c503761860a0d1a5002fe.gif

  • If you were to shave Miller’s goatee, his and Trump’s pie holes would match.
