The New York Times reports:
The campaign to re-elect President Trump pulled SpaceX, NASA and astronauts and their families into a campaign video that appeared to violate the space agency’s advertising regulations.
The video, released on Wednesday, was the latest effort by the president to parlay his stewardship of American space policy into an upbeat campaign issue. It included shots of two NASA astronauts, Robert L. Behnken and Douglas G. Hurley, who blasted off on Saturday aboard a SpaceX rocket.
The campaign removed the video from YouTube on Thursday evening, but not before more than 4,000 people signed a Change.org petition that sought to “Stop Donald Trump politicizing SpaceX and NASA accomplishments.”

I find it disturbing that a video image of me and my son is being used in political propaganda without my knowledge or consent. That is wrong. @nasa @JimBridenstine https://t.co/cXcKHxmn6e

Then stop finding it disturbing. Photos taken in public are no different from eyes seeing you in public: you can’t just be disturbed and demand that people unsee you. If you want to hide, stay indoors.

Here’s an explanation: her husband works for a government funded organisation. He was doing HIGHLY PUBLIC, HIGHLY POLITICAL event. She attended, and PARTICIPATED. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing. Now, she’s getting political about it, because she hates her president.

Ok. You’d rather no emphasis on space and defunding all projects then bc….social posturing. Got it.

You need a safe room room to go to help you cope with the imagined horror of being in an ad of the President of the US who is supporting our Space Program. If Biden wins maybe he’ll cancel US Space progress. Guess that would by ok with you. Snowflake
