Politico reports:
Speaker Mike Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries rolled out members of a bipartisan task force Monday to investigate the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. The task force will be led by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.), who represents Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of the shooting at a campaign rally.
In addition to Kelly, the Republicans on the task force will be: Reps. Mark Green (Tenn.), David Joyce (Ohio), Laurel Lee (Fla.), Michael Waltz (Fla.), Clay Higgins (La.) and Pat Fallon (Texas).
Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) will be the top Democrat on the task force. Democratic Reps. Lou Correa (Calif.), Madeleine Dean (Pa.), Chrissy Houlahan (Pa.), Glenn Ivey (Md.) and Jared Moskowitz (Fla.) will also be on the panel.

Expect copious amounts of batshittery from lunatic Rep. Clay “Civil War” Higgins.
My earlier recap on Mike Kelly:
According to GOP Sen. Ron Johnson, it was Kelly who provided a list of fake electors that they attempted to pass along to Mike Pence.
Kelly last appeared here when it was revealed that he took $315,000 in climate funds to install solar panels at his car dealerships after having voted against the funding.
In 2023, he blamed Biden for a “terror attack” at the Canadian border that turned out to be just a wealthy tourist who crashed his car while rushing to a Kiss concert.
In 2021, Kelly led an anti-Biden panel at CPAC titled “Our Moron In Chief.”
In December 2020, Kelly sponsored an ultimately failed lawsuit to throw out Pennsylvania’s mail-in votes.
In 2019, Kelly ridiculed House progressives by declaring himself a person of color because white is a color.
