The Washington Post reports:
In his 17 years as a self-appointed enforcer of what he viewed as traditional Catholicism, Michael Voris developed a go-to strategy for taking on his targets: accusing them of being gay. The head of far-right website Church Militant, Voris often claimed the Catholic church was secretly run by an “international gay-crime syndicate.” In a 2020 webcast, he referred to the Black archbishop of Washington as a term many viewed as both a racial and gay slur.
Then it all came crashing down. In November, Voris resigned over what his board described as a breach of Church Militant’s “morality clause,” with no other public explanation of his offense. Voris’s trouble began April, when strange images appeared on Church Militant’s cloud-storage account: shirtless selfies of Voris, some of them cut off just above his pelvis, along with a screenshot of a text-message exchange screenshot from someone expressing that they found the images sexually arousing.
The Detroit Catholic reports:
Speaking via Zoom during the hearing for a defamation lawsuit brought by Father Georges de Laire, a New Hampshire priest, Voris was discussing how he ended up without a lawyer, without a job, and is now facing the possibility of a criminal investigation into his handling of Church Militant finances. The suit case revolves around stories that Church Militant published claiming Father de Laire, judicial vicar for the Diocese of Manchester, is incompetent, emotionally unstable and considered a troublemaker.
Church Militant is in the process of selling its only assets, two office buildings in Ferndale. But that revenue will not go far to relieve the burden. In the days since Voris was pushed out, ex-employees started leaking internal documents showing Church Militant is in crisis due to Voris’ alleged active homosexual lifestyle, his reported abusive behavior toward employees, and the severe financial strain brought on by multiple lawsuits and Voris’ questionable actions.

Voris finally came out as allegedly “ex-gay” in 2016 after years of attacking LGBTQ rights. At that time, I wrote:
Thanks in part to pressure from virulently anti-gay and comically bewigged Catholic activist Michael Voris, last week the Catholic Church fired its news service editor for tweeting against North Carolina’s hate law. Yesterday Voris posted a video on his website, Church Militant, in which he confesses that for most his thirties, he lived a sexually sinful life of “live-in relationships with homosexual men.” Voris claims that he makes this revelation because the New York Archdiocese has been plotting to out him over his past.
Back in 2010 I posted several times about Voris, his attacks on President Obama, on LGBT rights, and his call for a “benevolent Catholic dictatorship in the United States.” These posts prompted a JMG reader to write and tell me that he’d once been close friends with Voris, who, according to the reader, had been a producer at the CBS affiliate in Detroit.
The reader further shared that he, Voris, and Voris’ boyfriend at the time had attended International Mister Leather some time in the 90s. According to the reader, Voris had to lend him a leather item in order to comply with that weekend’s dress code at Chicago’s Manhole bar. I ended up not outing Voris because I couldn’t verify the reader’s story.
Voris first appeared on JMG in 2010 when he called for the above-cited literal Catholic dictatorship in the United States.
In 2022, he hosted MTG for interviews in which the pair agreed that the Catholic Church is “satanic” under relatively moderate Pope Francis.
In 2021, Voris also briefly employed fellow homocon “ex-gay” Milo Yiannopoulos to flog Catholic bric-a-brac on the site’s home shopping channel.
He appeared here in November 2022 when he declared that violence is always an option when dealing with the enemies of the Catholic Church.

Wouldn’t it be a violation of employment law in Michigan for Michael Voris to continually text half-nude selfies to his young, single male employees?
