The Des Moines Register reports:
Republican radio host Larry Elder is considering a run for president — regardless of whether former President Donald Trump decides to seek the office again.
“I don’t feel I’m running against him,” Elder told the Des Moines Register in an interview. “I’m running for president. And I’m not running against anybody on the Republican side. I’m running against Joe Biden if he runs, or Kamala Harris if she runs.”
He said he’s “kicking the tires” in Iowa as he considers a run for higher office. A longtime political commentator, Elder entered politics in 2021, when he ran against California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a 2021 recall election.
