Charleston’s ABC News affiliate reports:
On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham easily breezed through the June 9 primary, and now he’s set to face Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison. On Wednesday, Harrison sent a letter to Graham to challenge him to four debates anytime between now and Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
“While we may disagree on many issues, I am sure we can agree that Palmetto State voters deserve to hear where we each stand on the vital questions facing South Carolina and the country,” Harrison wrote.
“We have to rescue our economy from the turmoil caused by coronavirus, prepare our children for the future, and keep our country safe.”
Harrison asks that one of the debates be held at a historically black college.
