White House Spox: Democrats And The Media Have Created More Chaos Than The Russians [VIDEO]

The Hill reports:

Journalists lashed out at a White House spokesman on Saturday after the aide to President Trump claimed that news media and Democrats have caused more “chaos” than Russia.

White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley made the comments during an interview on Fox News while responding to special counsel Robert Mueller’s indictment of Russian nationals for meddling in the 2016 election.

“There are two groups that have created chaos more than the Russians and that’s the Democrats and the mainstream media,” Gidley asserted on Fox News. “[They] continued to push this lie on the American people for more than a year, and frankly Americans should be outraged by that.”

  • bkmn

Mr. Gidley, are you aware that the only people that did time for Watergate were WH staffers, like yourself?

    • coram nobis

Attorney General John Mitchell also drew a prison term. It’s a pleasant thought in the current situation.

    • Jamie_Johnson

That would require both a sense of history and self, of which Hogan has demonstrated neither.

  • Stogiebear

I can’t decide if the look he’s doing is “deer in the headlights” or “Stepford press secretary.”

  • Christopher

    What a pathetic little twerp!

    He looks like a twerp.

  • Christopher

Have his balls even dropped yet?

Oops, my bad. He’s clearly had work done.

  • hoover2001

I would never trust a guy with that haircut.

  • Cuberly Deux

So this is the tactic they’re employing. Not concern over a national security threat, not a plan to meet to discuss what our response should be. Nope, they’re horrified that russian meddling undermines the legitimacy of Trump winning the election. And there’s a network devoted to spreading whatever message Cult45 wants to run with.

    • Joe in PA

That’s all they got. Oh, and birtherism. 🙁

      • Cuberly Deux

I gotta admit, I keep thinking there will be a moment where they finally acknowledge Russian interference, while insisting it didn’t influence the outcome of the election. They’ve had so many chances to sound moderately concerned.

        It just ain’t gonna happen.

        • Joe in PA

Yea, I said almost the same thing the other day…Trump would say “but it didn’t influence the election”. It just baffles.

        • Gianni

Trump has acknowledged Russian interference because of these indictments, but avoids the hard truth by focusing on the fact that the Russians prepared for and started executing this meddling in 2014 – loooooong before he announced his candidacy. He won’t ever admit that they got to know him and researched him well in advance and read his beads. He’d already pulled that ‘candidate’ stunt once before and they were going to throw their interference to anyone who would oppose Hillary. They did it for Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders. As the chosen candidate, the Russian program threw all it’s efforts behind our Dear Leader. He is aware of it and will never face it.

          • Cuberly Deux

Part of what I’m saying is acknowledging precipitates action. Donnie’s reticence at implementing sanctions is telling.

          • Gianni

I hear you. Of course, Dear Leader isn’t going to implement any sanctions. I can’t figure how he can ignore Congress with such impunity, but he does and suffers no repercussions. He, despite his claims of no collusion, promised, through his campaign underlings contacting Russians, that the Obama admin’s sanctions would be lifted once he became Prez. He snuggled up to Pootin then and it continues now. Dear Leader has been compromised by Pooty Poot and will continue to do what is right by the Russian government.

          • Amanda B. Rekendwith

He is aware of it and will never face it.
But that would mean he’s not the biglyest and bestest.

          • Gianni

            ‘Never’ is right.

        • Ben

Yep it wasn’t the Russians, it was all those illegals, remember? (sarcasm)

    • Todd20036

      Nixon did something similar

    • Ben

There’s legitmitacy in Trump’s win? The entire thing stinks of last year’s fish.

  • Westcoast88

These comments are always made on Fox News, where no one laughs out loud or challenges them on the crap coming out of their mouths.

    • Gianni

Otherwise known as Trump TV. I watched about 10 minutes of Sean Hannity last night (that’s about the limit of what I can tolerate from that network). The only statement he made about the indictments was that it proves that the President is innocent and is vindicated. Of course, it does nothing of the sort. He also emphasized that nothing in the indictment indicates that anyone in Trump’s campaign were wittingly involved. Rod Rosenstein said that himself when he announced the indictments. Hannity simply repeated the facts we already had. At the same time, he did his usual thing by hammering at Obama and Hillary. “Uranium One” – there’s Hillary’s collusion with the Russians and all the time, on screen, is a large banner in bright colors saying Uranium One. It was the same old constant drumbeat of deflecting any facts from the President and droning on about Hillary. How do the fools watching this shit not grasp the manipulation? Lawrence O’Donnell often does the same thing on MSNBC. One has to be discerning and learn when to disregard the bullshit. Of course, Hannity and others at FUX News know only too damned well that none of their audience are ever going to Google Uranium One and read the facts or do any fact searching when they hear this deflective crap.

It reminds me of the time that my father became positively apoplectic when he learnt that I had spoken with someone about what life was like in our house while I was a teenager. I was 20 yrs old at the time that this all came to a head (it was 1987).

He was not in the least bit concerned about me or about the mental and emotional anguish (even abuse) that I had suffered, or even the physical hardship that it had presented because of the beatings from my older brother and threats of beatings from my father. No. He was only angry because I had dared SPEAK OF IT with another person, because it made him look bad.

Drumpft, his brood, and his cronies are only upset because the truth about the kind of self-serving depraved people that they are is finally coming to light. And their gravy train is likely to come to an abrupt halt here pretty soon.

  • Tomcat

Americans should be outraged alright, but not because of Democrats.

  • Galvestonian

After this mess really hits the fan and nails the Shitler and his minions can these idiots ( all of whom don’t have any security clearances ) be charged with
    anything ?

Stupid and outrageous stuff like this is only fueling Trumps base in some type of weak assed attempt to do something violent — like show up at a Pizza Shop trying to free the enslaved children in the basement with some type of monster weapon.

Plus notice the way all the news operatifs sitting on the white comfy sofa nod their heads repeatedly like ‘bobble-headed’ dolls. Sell -outs – I swear that Fox & that whole bunch should be charged with collusion with the Russians in an attempt to bring down the entire government. It’s certainly the line they’ve been pushing since day one. Arrest the whole shit-load of them.

  • Charles Nelson

So True! If the MSM had just kept their mouths shut there would be no chaos. If MLK had kept his mouth shut there would not have been much Black agitation over the next 50 years!

It just amazes me that Twitter can’t clean up it’s act. You can’t even report someone specifically for being a “bot”. It is soooo easy to detect. I was just looking at a random account…joined in August of 2017, already tweeted 92K tweets, is following 40K other accounts. This is not real.

    • SoCalGal20

So true! Though given what you have to go through to have them take action on things like racist poste, the results would be disappointing at best.

Also, Twitter doesn’t want to publicize how many accounts are fake.

Every day they chip chip away at the conventions which help keep a democracy accountable; the free Press, the electors, the system of representation.

Every day they divide the citizens into two camps.
They employ their own main media and then denounce everything else as “fake”, or as “mainstream” as if somehow they were the only true keepers of the Holy Grail.

Their modus operandi is to attack those who expose their mad hypocrisy, the judges, the federal bench, the questioning press, and those who stand up for citizens rights, immigrants etc.
Every time they open their mouths they seek to deflect.

Nunes and the GOP have tried to deflect from the Russian investigation. They have attempted to discredit Mueller and undermine his investigation which has led to these indictments. Now we see that they were diverting from what these Russians were up to. Nunes was covering up for the Russian infiltration of the elections. Next we should hope that they can prove that Nunes & Co were knowingly covering the Russian tracks.
Oh yeah, lock him up, lock him up.
