Tucker Carlson: Progressives Hate America And Love Dictators Because They Resent Their Fathers [VIDEO]

“Progressives have a long and dishonorable history of supporting the world’s most repressive regimes. It’s hard to find a dictator the left has not supported. Chairman Mao, Hugo Chavez, Idi Amin. These people seem to have nothing in common but one thing — they all hate America. Turns out progressive activists also have one thing in common — they resent their fathers. That’s where their politics come from. The rest is just window dressing.” – Tucker Carlson, speaking on his Fox News show last night.

Thank God Tucker reminded us Pence is the VP.

  • Mark Née Fuzz

WTAF? How do these idiots come up with this baloney? Do they have chimps in the back room flinging poo at the wall?

    • Gustav2

No, they give the poo flinging monkeys prime time shows.

    • Carlson’s entire audience is far right loons. Nothing he says has to make sense or be based on facts. But the thing I hate him for more than any other is an unethical tactic he consistently uses on guests. He has the audio turned way down on the guest’s feed that goes into the ear piece. Then he asks them questions which he knows they can’t hear while they are talking and then yells at them for being too cowardly to answer his question. Multiple people have noted this who have been guests from remote studios and none of them will go back on unless they are with him face to face (which he won’t agree to). That’s the level of ethics Carlson has.

      • Nic Peterson

A generous helping of revisionist history served at no charge.

    • You beat me to it. Thanks, Tucker for broadcasting your daddy issues to the world.

    • Uncle Mark

So much projection. You know that pantywaste, Carlson, has been a continual disappointment to his father since the first day he strapped on a bow tie in elementary school and every moment his father had to hear his whiny, wimpy voice. Even Daddy joined the playground bullies at throwing rocks at him. Now that Tucker makes a living qweefing lies out his wherever all the time, his father has done all he can to hide himself from his embarrassing offspring…comforting himself with the idea that Tucker’s really the postman’s failure of pulling out in time.

      • I wonder if that’s not the root of his homophobia. He doesn’t read as particularly masculine but those of us who saw him on Dancing with the Stars know he isn’t the least bit gay. But I’m sure he was called “faggot” all through school. Instead of developing empathy for people who are gay and bullied like someone capable of empathy, he internalized the homophobia. In other words, he did what homocons do and blamed the other gays for being gay and bringing the bullying on themselves. (You know, like conservatives do with women who were sexually harassed, even conservative women I know blame the victims. “Well what was she doing there in the first place?” Blech.)

      • prixator

By naming him “Tucker”, you know that his parents hated him. I know exactly one of the names the bullies called him (starts with “F” and rhymes with Tucker).

  • Tomcat

Tucker Is either trying to get his own religious show or take top spot at Fox with his drivel.

I know that some American communists supported Mao, but I never heard that any progressives supported Idi Amin.

    • GayOldLady

That’s Tucker BS. I’m in my 70’s and been a liberal my entire life, I’ve never known voting liberals to support Mao or Idi Amin, it just simply did not happen.

      • whollyfool

I was wondering when we started supporting Idi Amin…. I never got the memo.

        • Octoberfurst

Yeah I never heard the Idi Amin one either. I never once in my 59 years heard any liberal say, “I just love Idi Amin! He’s a great leader!” Of course I have heard right-wingers say that it was liberals who loved Hitler and Mussolini while the conservatives were totally against them. That’s also total bullshit but it makes conservatives feel better about themselves.

    • OdieDenCO

facts at fox are as rare as crumple horned snorkacks

    • boatboy_srq

I’m surprised he didn’t mention Pol Pot, Ho Chi Minh or Robert Mugabe.

      • Danieruw

Like his viewers know who they are. Though I’m sure they don’t know Idi Amin. He may as well mention Jean-Bedel Bokassa for all any of his viewers know.

Also, why is Carlson still breathing and/or employed?

        • boatboy_srq

I think Carlson saw Last King of Scotland right before making the comment.

  • GayOldLady

Last month Tucker told a guest “up yours” after the guest called out his racism. He’s a real POS .

  • Mike

Group, tell Tucker how you feel about his projecting his issues onto you. Oops, times up. See you next Tuesday.

  • alc2018

Note to Tucker: Get a clue! The election was bought paid for and fixed, no american had a hand or vote in it.

  • olandp

The irony of Tucker Carlson psychoanalyzing the left and ascribing the motivations of the right to those on the left is overwhelming. Anyone who has studied Psychology knows that all of the research done about authoritarianism (searching for the causes of WWII) points to ‘conservationism’. John Dean, yes THAT John Dean, wrote a book about it called “Conservatives Without Conscience” that attempted to explain the Bush II years.

    • leo77

There’s a pretty big body of research that shows it’s conservatives who gravitate towards authoritarian figures and governments. It appeals to their sense of order and stability.

      • Octoberfurst

That’s true. I’ve read several studies on the liberal vs conservative mindset and conservatives overwhelmingly desire authority and law & order. They are very rigid in their thinking and see all issues in black and white. They also readily follow their leaders without question. Liberals, of course, are just the complete opposite. We are flexible, don’t trust authority figures, question things, are open-minded and see most issues as shades of gray. Tucker, therefore, is full of shit. (By the way he never mentions the Dear Leader’s penchant for fawning over dictators. Funny huh?)

      • CanuckDon

This is some very disturbing propaganda that Carlson is putting out there. An attempt at reverse psychology to dupe his audience so they don’t identify as the real lovers of authoritarianism.

  • So by that reasoning, as liberals we should all just LOVE the orange shitgibbon?

    • Lars Littlefield

      Yes.

He works very hard at being that stupid.

Nah. I am pretty sure it is effortless.

  • Southeast PDXer

You and other FOX talking heads who mislead the American public by saying incendiary things like this ARE NOT PATRIOTS. Lincoln, Reagan, Washington – they would call you unpatriotic for pitting citizen against citizen. SHAME!— Nunya (@southeastpdxer) February 13, 2018

  • DesertSun59

‘Progressives have a long and dishonorable history of supporting the world’s most repressive regimes’

I have no idea who Carlson is talking about. I’m a former US Marine (honorably discharged) and still as gay as the day I walked into the AFEES station. I have never supported a single ‘repressive regime’. In fact, I’m a proud member of the CA resistance, defending this nation against the current repressive regime in Washington.

  • Uncle Mark

Oh Tucker, it’s obvious that a mealy-mouthed, sniveling, lil’ pantywaste, like you, is drawn to these dictators, who you view as real men, who can dominate you. Men you can call “Daddy.”

  • Matt

Sounds a little like he’s talking about conservatives, not smart people.

  • Uncle Mark

So progressives’ overarching concern about human rights is just secondary to our collective “daddy issues?” Why don’t you invite Jon Stewart on your show to reduce you to pathetic mockery and end this one for you, like he did Crossfire? (Oh, and unlike Tucker, Jon actually has a degree in psychology.)

  • Jean-Marc in Canada
  • Orange Natural

Didn’t Nixon go to China? And doesn’t Tucker supports the wannabe orange dicktator Trump? Seems like bow tie boy is the one with father issues. His father should have beat the crap out of him. Little twerp.

  • KarenAtFOH

Irony is dead. RIP Irony, we hardly knew ya.

  • The_Wretched

“Progressives have a long and dishonorable history of supporting the world’s most repressive regimes.”

Straight up lie. Progressives want healthcare for all, education for all, food for all, women and minority groups to not be oppressed etc. Really and utterly horrible vision there and all.

    • amandagirl15701

Tucker isn’t talking to Progressives, he’s talking to his echo chamber, who believe this bullshit. If he’d actually told the truth, he’d lose his viewers and his show. They have to go big with the lies it’s almost a competition on Fox.

  • KarenAtFOH

If the Democrats ever regain control of our Republic, the first thing they should do is bring back the Fairness Doctrine and put an end to poison like this.

  • boatboy_srq

He’s been sniffing glue while reading David Barton’s “History of the Modern World” again, hasn’t he?

  • Gianni

And just where did this boob get his degree in psychology? Has he totally failed to notice how much Dear Leader admires and reveres dictators the world over? So young and so stupid already.

  • canoebum

It’s all about ratings. Each day is a challenge to invent (or rehash) insults and lies about anyone who is not a white, right-wing male. His viewers need a daily dose of reassurance they’re better than everyone else. Pathetic!

  • alc2018
  • DaveMiller135

Hugo Chavez, I’m not familiar with. I associate that last name with the fight for migrant farm workers rights, here in the states. I don’t have to Google Chairman Mao, or Idi Amin, for gosh sakes, to know that no liberal supported them, ever.

  • Alexander Stallwitz

Tuck the Cuck is projecting again, i see. The Left arent the ones who fawned over Vladmir Putin and wish Trump was dictator of the US.

  • Bad Tom

Since it IS all projection with you folks, Tucker, tell us how your Daddy hurt you.
    ——-
    On second thought, zip it.

  • Coprolite

Tucker expounds “….It’s hard to find a dictator the left has not supported. ”
So explain to us why we dislike Dump so much if the left likes dictators?

  • SammySeattle

That’s a whole big stinking pile of projection.

  • Raising_Rlyeh

Reagan and conservatives sure loved dictators as long as they were right-wing.

  • Friday

And the Right has a long and dishonorable history of being driven insane by the sheer quantity of their own lies about themeslves and about others.

  • narutomania

    What the …? I mean … what?!

If we translated this statement to … oh, to the world of food, it might sound something like this:

Progressives Hate Pizza and Love Hotdogs Because They Resent Mayonnaise

  • -M-

Un, no. But Donnie the Dotard praises, fawns over, sucks up to, and wants to emulate the likes of: Putin, Duterte, Kim, China’s Xi, the house of Saud…

Seems like Tucker’s bogus psychology has caused him to forget that his favorite Trump is a real lover of dictators and authoritarian leaders.

  • Ann Kah
