Trump Backs Pro-Trump Book By State TV Host

The New York Times reports:

Jeanine Pirro, the Fox News personality and longtime friend and champion of President Trump, has discussed with him the possibility of a book project to counter the damning portrayal of his presidency in Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury,” according to three people with knowledge of their conversations.

The project has been described among West Wing advisers as “No Fire, No Fury,” according to two administration officials. Ms. Pirro met with Mr. Trump in the White House on Wednesday, hoping to secure his participation. Over lunch, Mr. Trump agreed to be interviewed by Ms. Pirro for the book, according to one of the people briefed on their discussion.

For weeks, the president has seethed about the depiction of him in “Fire and Fury” as a volatile and ill-equipped chief executive, even asking the White House counsel and allies whether a libel lawsuit against Mr. Wolff is still possible. (His advisers have told him no.)

Pirro has a separate book due out in June titled Liars, Leakers and Liberals. She recently made national headlines for literally stalking Hillary Clinton in the woods near Clinton’s home in upstate New York.

How fucking deplorable does one have to be to not laughably dismiss this screeching harpie screeching harpie crap like it’s Obama’s fault?? How deep seated must one’s hatred be for the negro Muslim socialist from Kenya to not utterly guffaw at ludicrous crap like that?

Why won’t the serious news media hold lying propagandists like Hannity, Pirro, and Carlson accountable for what they are?!

Walter Cronkite and his colleagues would have called these LIARS out for what they are with the readily available FACTS to PROVE their case, and they would have shown the American people precisely HOW they are helping Trump and the GOP to subvert the rule of law and destroy this democracy!

    • That_Looks_Delicious

(1 of 4) It’s not just the right’s media LIE machine out to help this foul regime turn this country into a banana republic—many in the MSM, besides the likes of Fox, are aiding and abetting them, too! They are—many of them—curiously reluctant, if not afraid, to stand up for the truth, their main duty as journalists, whenever the facts paint Trump and/or the GOP in a bad light. They call their reporting “fair and impartial” when what they often produce is slanted in Trump’s favour and against the Democrats (the notion they have a liberal bias is as absurd as the lie that Obama was a socialist!).

Witness the sneering attitude on display towards Nancy Pelosi in a recent NY Times article, which commented that, after 8 hours, she “quit” talking—you could detect their aching desire to say “finally”—about dreamers. She “tied up the House,” “delaying debate,” on another important bill! (Dreamers aren’t important, they might as well have said.) There was an article on CNN that quoted Ryan saying he had delivered on his promise to get Republican votes for the CR; now it was up to Democrats to deliver. It would be THEIR fault (!) if the CR failed, the fault of the minority party. CNN never mentioned that with a sizable majority in the House, the majority/governing party should not have to depend on one SINGLE vote from the minority/opposition party, whose job is NOT to pull the majority party’s fat out of the fire when its members are fighting among themselves. (CNBC also failed to point this out when covering the matter.) The MSM have gone silent on the fact that every economic expert asked about the tax cut bill, whatever his or her politics, has said it will be very bad for the long-term economy.

  • billbear1961

(2 of 4) There was an article in the NY Times—featured recently on Political Wire—where they talked about it not being “Mr.Trump’s style” to take a hands-off approach as a CEO, so certainly he would not remain passive in the current scandals rocking his White House (my phrasing, about the scandals). The tone was deferential, treating someone they KNOW is an evil IDIOT, grossly UNFIT, intellectually and morally, for the office he occupies—someone with no real knowledge or understanding of or even any interest in learning about precisely what’s IN the policies his regime and party are pushing—as if he were a NORMAL occupant deserving of RESPECT! Deference, for a racist hatemonger, a proven and relentless pathological LIAR, a grifter, a traitor doing NOTHING to punish a hostile foreign power for interfering in our elections or to keep them from doing it AGAIN, a degenerate who says that good people march with NAZIS and that wife-beaters deserve our SYMPATHY!! Bad Tom tells me the Boston Globe has adopted the same attitude towards the Defiler!

(3 of 4) When a reporter notes the positions of two sides and then does not look into the facts to tell us which side has the stronger argument, when one side obviously does, that reporter fails at his or her job. When reporters fail to point out that one side is obviously lying and they fail to lay out the facts that prove they’re lying, they fail at their jobs. When they quote wild conspiracy theories, and fail to point out Trump and his accomplices have no evidence to back them up, and that what “evidence” they DO produce is a tissue of lies or gross distortions, material taken deliberately out of context, they fail at their jobs. When they talk about Trump’s and the GOP’s attack on law enforcement and fail to point out the obvious reasons WHY they are doing this, they fail at their jobs (and it’s not “editorializing” to point out the obvious motivations, that jump right out at you, for their dark, slanderous behaviour). When reporters talk about the views of extremists—like those of white supremacists—or the techniques of propagandists like Bannon, and fail to point out how fundamentally incompatible with and destructive to democracy such views and propaganda—i.e. LYING and deliberate distortion—are, they fail at their jobs.

    • Hank

(4 of 4) In a recent article the AP said the Nunes memo “made the case” that “the FBI abused its power . . .” It did NO SUCH THING–it attempted to make a case to that effect and failed miserably in its attempt at a SMEAR JOB, and the AP KNOWS that! The GOP made their case, said the AP, but the Democrats only CLAIM their memo outlines omissions made by Nunes. The AP KNOWS omissions were deliberately made and things were taken out of context by the filthy LYING Nunes and his colleagues!

If anything, the work of these others in the MSM, to aid and abet the Trumpists, is even more dangerous than the brazen, bald-faced lying of the right’s media propaganda machine because it is subtler and therefore more insidious! Theirs are often sins of omission, sins of omission against the Republic!! Under Reagan, they got rid of the Fairness Doctrine, and now Sinclair Broadcast Group is trying to make spreading deliberate lies and advocating callously cruel and fundamentally undemocratic policies even easier on the nation’s airwaves, not just on cable and the net:

Nunes Creates His Own News Site

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) “has found a way around the often unflattering coverage of his role in the Trump-Russia investigation — by operating his own partisan news outlet,” Politico reports.

Resembling a local, conservative news site, The California Republican is classified on Facebook as a “media/news company” and claims to deliver “the best of US, California, and Central Valley news, sports, and analysis.”
