Musk On His Political Donations: “I’ve Done Enough”

During a conference in Qatar, Musk was asked if he intended to be a big spender on future campaigns. “I think, in terms of political spending,” Musk began, “I’m going to do a lot less in the future.” Asked how he came to that conclusion, Musk said, “I think I’ve done enough.”

The interviewer then asked if the decision came from “blowback.” Musk notably spent more than $20 million in a Wisconsin Supreme Court race, and that candidate lost. “Well, if I see a reason for political spending in the future,” Musk responded, “I will do it. I do not currently see a reason.”

Read the full article. You will recall that Musk claimed in 2023 that he would not be donating to “either political party.” And then last year he forked out nearly $300 million to the cult.
