The Huffington Post reports:
Rep. Angie Craig (D-Minn.) on Saturday became the fifth Democratic member of Congress to call on Joe Biden to drop out of the race following his disastrous performance in last week’s presidential debate against Donald Trump.
In a lengthy statement on social media, Craig extolled Biden’s “decades of service to our nation” and lauded the president’s legislative accomplishments, but noted that his failure to convince voters about his abilities forebodes a second Trump term.
Craig has joined a growing chorus of Democratic members of Congress to call on Biden to resign: Rep. Lloyd Doggett, Rep. Raúl Grijalva, Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) and Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) have publicly called on the president to step down.
