FRC Launches Petition Against CVS And Walgreens

While much of the news cycle this week has been focused on the House, the Biden Administration, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and pharmacy giants CVS and Walgreens have been moving in tandem to expand access to abortion-inducing drugs.

A recent rule change at the FDA paves the way for your local CVS or Walgreens pharmacy to sell abortion-inducing drugs – that’s right, your local pharmacy could, in effect, become an abortion facility.

Abortion-inducing drugs take the lives of unborn children and are much likelier to cause a negative health outcome for pregnant women than surgical abortions. Studies show these drugs include a 53% greater risk of a complication than after a surgical abortion.

The last thing any of us should want is to see our local CVS or Walgreens become an abortion business! Pharmacies are places where we go for treatment for ailments, and to alleviate suffering, but CVS and Walgreens would turn them into places of death for the unborn and pain for women.

That’s why Family Research Council Action is collecting signatures for a petition, to tell these big retail pharmacies to stick to their business of healing and alleviating suffering and stay out of the abortion business!
