The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports:
The 911 caller who summoned emergency medical workers to assist Sarasota Congressman Greg Steube after he was knocked off a ladder Wednesday said the lawmaker had injuries to his arm, back and other body parts and was “dazed.” The Herald-Tribune obtained a recording of the 911 call, which gives more details about the accident that sent Steube to the intensive care unit at a local hospital.
Steube was in a ladder trimming tree branches on his property. He was knocked out of the ladder and fell 25 feet, according to his office. Asked what caused the fall, the 911 caller said: “A branch hit the ladder, took him out.” The caller appeared to be talking to Steube while on the phone with 911. Asked how the congressman was doing, the caller said he thought Steube had some “memory loss.”
