Musk Suspends Reporter Who ID’d LibsOfTikTok Owner

The Daily Beast reports:

Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz was suspended from Twitter late Saturday, the latest prominent journalist to get the boot. Lorenz was apparently suspended for “violating the Twitter rules,” though it wasn’t immediately clear which one.

Shortly before the ban, Lorenz had tweeted directly at Musk seeking comment for a story. “When I went to log in and see if he had responded to our query, I was suspended. I received zero communication from the company on why I was suspended or what terms I violated,” Lorenz wrote on her Substack.

Mediaite reports:

Lorenz’s suspension came two days after Twitter suspended the accounts of several journalists covering Musk because, Musk claimed, they shared his exact “real-time location” on their Twitter accounts. However, none of the suspended accounts had actually done that. As for Lorenz, she is a bugbear for conservatives in large part because she revealed the name of the owner of the highly influential Twitter account, Libs of TikTok.
