Vatican Defrocks “Blasphemous” MAGA Priest [VIDEO]

The New York Times reports:

A well-known Catholic priest and incendiary leader of the anti-abortion movement was removed from the priesthood by the Vatican, according to a letter from Pope Francis’s representative to the United States that was obtained by The New York Times.

Frank Pavone, who leads the advocacy organization Priests for Life, and was once a religious adviser to former President Donald J. Trump, was dismissed from the clergy on Nov. 9 with no possibility of appeal, the letter states.

“This action was taken after Father Pavone was found guilty in canonical proceedings of blasphemous communications on social media, and of persistent disobedience of the lawful instructions of his diocesan bishop,” it states.

The Associated Press reports:

Pavone had been investigated by his then-diocese of Amarillo, Texas, for having placed an aborted fetus on an altar and posting a video of it on two social media sites in 2016. Pavone remains a firm supporter of Trump: His Twitter handle features him wearing a “MAGA” hat with a background photo featuring the former U.S. president. Laicization, or being reduced to the lay state, is one of the harshest sanctions in the church’s canon law.

Pavone, who is a member of the Focus On The Family Institute, was in the national spotlight in 2005 as the spokesperson for Terry Schiavo’s family and for working with the loons of Operation Rescue.

As I reported in 2011, he was once suspended by his diocese for “mismanagement” of millions in donations to Priests For Life.

In 2015, I reported that Pavone had appeared in the anti-LGBTQ documentary produced by Janet Porter.

As you can see below, earlier this month Pavone appeared on Newsmax to proclaim his “wholehearted endorsement” of Trump’s 2024 campaign.
