The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
All workers at San Francisco International Airport are now required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, according to an announcement Tuesday from Mayor London Breed.
The mandate takes effect immediately and requires all tenants or contractors to require their on-site employees to be fully vaccinated or to be tested weekly if exempted from getting the shots.
“As SFO prepares for the upcoming holiday travel season, and the return of pre-pandemic passenger levels, we have an obligation to provide a safe airport facility for the traveling public and our on-site employees,” SFO Director Ivar C. Satero said in a statement.
The mandate on #CovidVaccines for all workers at San Francisco International Airport is the first of its kind for a U.S. airport.
It goes into effect immediately.
Any #SFO workers granted exemptions must be tested weekly.https://t.co/6kYJkDBbAi
