Gov. Ron DeSantis Vows To Ban Racism History Lessons Because It Will Teach Children To “Hate Their Country”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will lead an effort to bar schools in his state from teaching critical race theory. “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig,” the Republican said of efforts to restructure education to be anti-white and anti-American.

“The Florida Board of Education is meeting, and they are addressing this. And I told them they need to address this, and we’ve got to do it,” the Republican said Friday.

“We’ll be taking action,” he promised. “Don’t you worry.” DeSantis told a group of reporters that such education efforts were akin to indoctrination and that it was “offensive” to use taxpayer money to teach “kids to hate their country.”
