McConnell: I’ll “Fight Every Step” Of Infrastructure Plan

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday predicted the Biden administration’s $2 trillion infrastructure plan is “not going to get support from our side,” given Republican opposition to the the scope of the package and its proposed tax increase for corporations.

A day after Biden put forward his vision for upgrading the country’s roads, bridges and water ways, the Senate’s GOP Leader blasted it as part of a broader effort to “drive our country all the way to the political left” despite the fact Democrats maintain only slim majorities in Congress.

“I’m going to fight them every step of the way because I think this is the wrong prescription for America,” McConnell added.
