CBS Poll: South Carolina Senate Race In Virtual Tie

CBS News reports:

Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina all have Republican senators up for reelection this year, and Senate control may hinge on these races. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the group is in South Carolina, a reliably Republican state where Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison has pulled almost even with incumbent Republican Lindsey Graham. We find Graham just a point up, with more South Carolina voters saying he agrees with Mr. Trump too much, rather than the right amount.

The CBS survey is the latest to show a tightening race in South Carolina, and Harrison has placed himself as a formidable challenge to Graham, raising millions in his campaign against the three-term senator. Graham himself acknowledged last week that he is “getting killed financially” by Harrison. Democrats are looking to pick up three or four Senate seats, depending on which party wins the White House, to gain control of the upper chamber.
