NBC New York reports:
Gov. Andrew Cuomo hinted Monday he may slow the Phase III reopening process for New York City, which would mark a reversal of course for a governor who has consistently said all state regions are subject to the same reopening rules.
Phase III, which Mayor Bill de Blasio has said the five boroughs are on track to enter in one week, on July 6, reopens indoor dining and personal care services with limited capacity as well as more outdoor recreation facilities. Cuomo is particularly concerned about the restaurant element, he told NY1 Monday.
De Blasio indicated the same concern about indoor dining in his daily briefing Monday, saying the city was reexamining its rules for that component of Phase III.
Indoor dining may be on hold even as city moves to Phase 3 of reopening next week, per @NYCMayor. Says he’s working through details with @NYGovCuomo‘s team –more details to come in next few days.
