AOC On Why She Didn’t Attend Bernie’s Launch Rally

Mediaite reports:

New York Congresswoman and rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed that she did not attend Bernie Sanders’ kickoff rally in Brooklyn Saturday, and that she was not asked by Sanders to attend.

During an interview with NY1’s Errol Louis that was taped Sunday but aired Tuesday night, the Inside City Hall host asked AOC “Did you attend the Bernie Sanders kickoff this weekend? I assume he asked you to be there.”

“Um, he, he didn’t, actually,” AOC replied. “I’ve been speaking with him and several other of the 2020 candidates. And I think that they have really understood and respected the fact that I think that I want to wait until we get a little bit closer.”
