Roy Moore’s Campaign Manager Unveils US House Bid

The Montgomery Advertiser reports:

Longtime Roy Moore aide Rich Hobson on Wednesday announced he would challenge U.S. Rep. Martha Roby in June’s GOP primary for Alabama’s 2nd congressional district.

In an announcement on the State Capitol steps, Hobson, 56, outlined a platform very similar to the former Alabama chief justice’s Senate campaign last year, with an emphasis on military spending, opposition to abortion and LGBT rights and loyalty to President Donald Trump and his agenda, particularly on immigration.

“The president also believes in a safer and stronger America, but he can’t do it on his own,” said Hobson, surrounded by family members and some veterans of Moore’s campaign, where Hobson served as manager. “We need congressmen who will work with him, not against him.”
