The Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at Lyric Theatre has made Broadway history. Grossing $2,138,859 for the week ending April 8, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has become the highest-grossing play ever on Broadway, shattering a record of $1,623,495 set by All the Way in June 2014.

Based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play written by Thorne and directed by Tiffany. The production is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings.
