CBS News reports:
President Trump said he has just heard that the office of one of his personal attorneys was broken into, a reference to the FBI raid of Michael Cohen’s office. During a meeting with his military advisers at the White House Monday, he called it a disgraceful situation and a witch hunt.
“I have this witch hunt constantly going on for over 12 months now,” said Trump, complaining that it was “an attack on what we all stand for.” “It’s a real disgrace,” he said. “That is really a whole new level of unfairness,” Mr. Trump said. And he insisted again that there was “no collusion” with Russia.
He then went on to attack the intelligence community, calling them “the most biased group of people with the biggest conflicts of interest I’ve ever seen.” The attorney general, Mr. Trump said, “made a terrible mistake” when he recused himself, and the president went on to say that he “should have let us know and we would have put a different attorney general in.”
