CPAC Condemns D’Souza After Attack On Parkland Survivors, Claims He Wasn’t Scheduled This Year

Mediaite reports:

After Dinesh D’Souza’s disgusting tweets going after teenage survivors of a school shooting, people genuinely wondered if D’Souza was lined up to speak at CPAC this week. The organization says he is and was not. The Speakers page has D’Souza’s photo on it, but CPAC’s Twitter account says that’s from the archives, they’re taking it down, and his comments are abhorrent.

Heavy reports:

D’Souza is accused of taunting survivors of the Stoneman Douglas massacre after he posted multiple tweets responding to Florida lawmakers voting down a ban on assault rifles. His tweet read “Worst news since their parents told them to get summer jobs,” accompanied by a picture of students reacting to the news of the ban.” An hour earlier, he tweeted “Adults 1, kids 0” as the news was breaking of the ban being denied. D’Souza was met with immediate disapproval from those objecting to the mockery of survivors of a mass shooting.

Gigglesnort. When even CPAC thinks you’re a douchebag.

    • kelven

      Much worse, bad publicity.

  • Rex

    Deplorable was much too kind.

  • SkokieGuy / May attempt snark

Is there anyone who doubts that if Dinesh is pulled over by the cops for DWB – driving while brown, he would instantly pull the “Do you know who I am” card?

    • “Sure, Mr. D’Souza. You’re a felon and a complete waste of skin.”

    • Kruhn

      That face is soooooooooooo punchable!!!

    • When they were at Dartmouth, D’Souza and then girlfriend Laura Ingraham would sit outside the gay student oganization and then call all the parents of people attending and out them. That’s what kind of shitty people both of them are. If anything they’ve gotten worse since then.

      • Devon Rodriguez

Ingraham was born and raised among the wealthy in Glastonbury, Conn., one of the state’s richest suburbs, although her mother worked as a maid to support the family. She went to Dartmouth University and became the first female editor of the conservative Dartmouth Review, where conservative author Dinesh D’Souza, a former boyfriend, also worked. While there, she secretly sent a reporter with a tape recorder to a campus gay students association meeting; she then outed the students in print and sent tapes of the meetings to the students’ parents. In the magazine she called association members “cheerleaders for latent campus sodomites.” (In 1997, more than a decade later, she wrote an article in the Washington Post detailing how she had changed her views in light of her brother Curtis’ coming out as gay.)

          Leopard, spots, knickers,…

        • DN

The Dartmouth Review also published incredibly racist shit. Like a piece on affirmative action entitled “dis sho ain’t no jive, bro.”

        • 1997? And somehow in the past 21 years I seem to have missed all her pro-gay rights speeches at the RNCs and CPACs. Does she ever talk about her pro-gay views and her gay brother on right wing media or only in liberal outlets like the Washington Post?

      • Ninja0980

They are both loathsome pieces of shit.

This is from a Notepad document I stumbled across this morning> I’m cleaning up the computer’s D: drive, due to our getting new computers at work:

Profile: Dartmouth Gay Straight Alliance (GSA)

Dartmouth Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) was a participant or observer in the following events:

1981: Conservative University Newspaper ‘Outs’ Gay Students

The Dartmouth Review, a conservative weekly student newspaper funded by off-campus right-wing sources (see 1980), publishes the names of the officers of Dartmouth College’s Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), along with material that had been stolen from the GSA’s confidential files. Many students, faculty members, administrators, and family members did not know that the “outed” students were gay until they read the article in the Review. One outed student reportedly contemplates suicide over his exposure. Review founding editor Greg Fossedal later says, “I felt terrible about it,” and editor Dinesh D’Souza says he and his fellow editors did not know that the GSA had an exemption from the university over making its officers’ names public. According to D’Souza, he merely wanted to attack the secrecy of the funding of the GSA, and accuses the organization of using university money for “gay parties, gay orgies, or whatever.” [Dartmouth Free Press, 9/20/2006] In 1984, the Review will be investigated by the state of New Hampshire for allegedly wiretapping a GSA meeting and printing a transcript of the audio recording (see 1984).

1984: New Hampshire Investigates Conservative Student Newspaper for Alleged Wiretapping of Gay Organization

The Dartmouth Review, a conservative weekly student newspaper funded by off-campus right-wing sources (see 1980), publishes a front-page story proclaiming an “Exclusive Report on the GSA,” the Gay Straight Alliance. In 1981, Review editors had published the names of GSA officers, many of whom wished to keep their homosexuality a secret (see 1981). This article features a transcript of a private GSA meeting, recorded by Review staffer Teresa Polenz, who was sent by Review editor Laura Ingraham. The accompanying illustration depicts a man peering over a bathroom stall; Ingraham’s accompanying prose calls the GSA “cheerleaders for latent campus sodomites.”

What a douchekit. He can spout rethug rhetoric till the cows come home…and the rethugs will still see a “terrorist”. For a guy who claims to be so smart – he’s a fucking idiot.

He’ll be dead forever, this is not something that people should stop what they’re doing and pay attention.

The term “Breaking News” is way overused these days.

Played it a couple times. It seems when your only choices are “Think” and “Pray” that nobody’s life gets saved and lots of people die. Oh well, let’s just thoughts and prayers harder — that’s sure to make a difference.

The photo was from the archives. Right. Archives. Because EVERY convention always uses an archived photo to advertise its roundup of speakers for an upcoming conference. That just makes sense. You sell this year’s gathering based upon some out-of-date line up of speakers to people from all over the country if not all over the world.

Down here in Texas that’s referred to as

This individual should be referred to by his correct name: Convicted Felon Dinesh D’Souza.

    Convicted felon says what?

The sad part of this is that in their efforts to discredit and disarm these kids the GOP will say some very insensitive and cruel remarks. I hope the media is the to debunk the shit and the kids are strong enoughto see it for what it is and ignore

More of the “conservative” war on reality, pushing lies while calling the truth ‘fake news’.

D’Souza so wants to be a part of the conservative WASP community, he would throw his own mother under the bus to achieve that acceptance.
