CNN Interviews Nazi Likely To Win GOP House Primary And Things Go Exactly As You’d Predict [VIDEO]

Mediaite reports:

CNN’s Alisyn Camerota confronted a literal Nazi who is currently poised to nab the GOP nomination for Congress — and the interview predictably derailed, as the Nazi ranted about “the Jewish media.”

Arthur Jones, a holocaust denier, anti-Semite, white supremacist and all around lunatic is set to become the Republican nominee for an Illinois congressional seat near Chicago — and appeared on CNN to defend himself.

“It is shocking to hear how vocally and unapologetically racist you are,” Camerota opened the interview. “Are you a Nazi?” Jones contended that he does not call himself a Nazi, but an “American patriot and statesman.” Camerota noted that Jones dresses in Nazi garb and celebrates Hitler’s birthday. “You’re a Nazi,” she charged.

As you’ll see, the Nazi started screaming when the interview began and never stopped.

  • PickyPecker
  • wow…i would say this was off the rails, but i don’t think there was a railyard anywhere in the vicinity.

  • ChrisInKansas

HOW are we to the point in this country where a FUCKING NAZI is “poised to win a primary”????

    • Rex

How are we to a point where people will actually vote for him?

    • ChrisInKansas

Oh….”uncontested”. Jesus, people. Why can’t any sane Americans run for office anymore?

      • Reality.Bites

At a guess, it costs a lot of money and in many areas is seen as a hopeless exercise.

It’s also opening up your entire life to scrutiny. There are lots of good reasons to not run for office even when you have a good chance of winning.

      • Todd20036

There really are no non-Nazi GOPers anymore

    • The Sentinel

Because we now live in a Trump hellscape.

  • Butch

And the idiot GOP hordes in that district will go ahead and vote for him anyway, because there’s an R by his name.

  • Sam_Handwich

    Incumbent is Dan Lipinski (D)

Dems have held IL-3 since 1959, with the exception of a single term in the 70’s

  • S1AMER

There aren’t a lot of Republicans in the district, but you can bet most of them will vote for him.

  • Sam_Handwich

    teh j00z control the chemtrails

  • Harveyrabbit

A commenter on another site suggested she should have asked why he decided to join the Republican party.

    • kaydenpat

Hmmm. Yes, that would have been a great question. All Republicans may not be White Supremacists but all White Supremacists are Republicans. Democrats don’t accept that nonsense.

      • Todd20036

at this point, all republicans are white supremacists. Every fucking last one of them.

The fact that they enable a white supremacist is damning enough

        • Mike Rasor

Well they’ve been enabling that bullshit since the 1960’s.

          • caphillprof

You could say the 1860s. They failed at reconstruction and enabled Jim Crow (putatively a Democratic institution)

    • Galvestonian

No one is gonna vote for him under the Nazi ticket but for Republicans
      “Es ist in Ordnung”

      Ja, sehr gut !!!

  • crewman

    I would have asked him:
Can you explain how you see yourself representing the Republican values?
Does the Republican party welcome candidates like you?
What makes you a good Republican?
Where do you see the Republican party going in the next 5 years?
What do you think this country should do differently to support black people?

    • clay

      Chicago Sun-Times has gone there:

“Jones said . . . he was sorry he voted for President Donald Trump, who has ‘surrounded himself with hordes of Jews’ including his Jewish son-in-law Jared Kushner. As for Gov. Bruce Rauner, also on the March ballot, Jones told the Sun-Times, ‘I would not lower myself to ask Bruce Rauner to campaign for me or vote for me.'”

    • Scott Carpenter

She wouldn’t ask those questions. She bent over backwards to distance him from the Republican party. Her role was to provide plausible deniability for GOPers.

  • Boreal
  • Karl Dubhe

    I hate Illinois Nazis.

  • Harveyrabbit

How much money will the RNC be spending on his election campaign?

    • gaycuckhubby

The state party has already condemned his candidacy

      • Todd20036

Not impressed. If this guy were more subtle, they’d give him money.

If he wins the primary, they’ll give him money… quietly

        • gaycuckhubby

He will win. He’s running unopposed

      • clay

They’ve been condemning him for 20 years, doesn’t seem to have done anything.

        According to the Chicago Sun-Times:

“In 2016, Jones was removed from the 3rd District GOP ballot in legal actions engineered by the Illinois Republican Party. Records show that John Fogarty Jr., the general counsel for the Illinois GOP, handled the objections to Jones 2016 nominating petitions filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections.”

“By 2018, Jones took his petitions door to door himself and took greater care to have valid signatures. An official with the Illinois Republican Party said Fogarty was directed to determine if Jones could be thrown off the 2018 ballot. Fogarty examined Jones’ petitions Dec. 5 and Dec. 8. This time around, Jones’ signatures appeared valid, so the Illinois GOP did not pursue legal action.”

        • gaycuckhubby

Yeah, it looks like their hands are tied. Not that I feel that sorry for them. It should have been easy to pick literally anybody else to run against him

          • clay

Maybe they waited too late for filing, because they thought he’d fuck up his own petitions, again. And, besides, that district is gerrymandered to protect Lipinski.

          • gaycuckhubby

            Good point

          • canoebum

If the GOP was really opposed to his repugnant views, they would not allow him to run on the GOP line, no matter how many petitions he has signed. Their “big tent” has room for this scum. I’m sure they figure if he gets some support, those same voters will support other GOP candidates on the ballot. Any legal actions they take are merely deflection. They’re ok with Nazis in the party of Lincoln.

          • gaycuckhubby

            Lies! Only Republicans gerrymander.

      • TrollopeReader

probably none, but they did put money back into Moore’s campaign, despite all the news ….

  • kaydenpat

Republicans are really letting it all hang out. Thanks Trump.

    • Todd20036

It’s one of the few silver linings to this regime.

Now and forever when a republican tries to get all moral, we can watch them twist in the wind when we ask why they were ok with it under Trump, but now have to lie about it under _____?

  • Christopher
  • dbishop75

I’m a non violent person, but….I’d love to beat the living shit out of people like this asshat. There is simply so much hatred behind those beady little eyes. Worse part is thanks to the alt-assholes and Dear Leader, these unapologetic bigots feel ever so empowered to spread their lies and crazy.

  • JackFknTwist

“A two party, Jew party , Queer system”
“The Holocaust is an international extortion racket by the Jews.”

This guy needs mental treatment not air-time. I’d expect this shit on FOX, but giving this twisted sicko air time on CNN is pure incitement. He should be confined to the kennels.

    • Karl Dubhe

I knew there was a reason I wasn’t willing to watch that bullshit.

Heard it before, on alt.politics.white-power, years ago. Don’t need to hear it again.

      • JackFknTwist

It was very hard to listen to this garbage in the 21st century. If he came out with this in Germany he would be arrested and so would the TV crew that allowed this bile.

  • Reality.Bites

I commend CNN for their restraint.

Usually when a Nazi is running for office they offer him a job as a commentator on the spot.

    • kaydenpat

      Lol! Truth.

    • JCF

      “But…but…FEMINAZIS!!11!!!” /s

      • prixator

        They’re tougher than real Nazis!

  • Rebecca Gardner

    What a psycho!!!

    • kaydenpat

What cabinet position will Trump nominate him for?

      • Stogiebear

        Department of Final Solutions.

        • Mikey

sorry, that made me vomit a bit in my mouth.
I’d say “too far”… except I’m too scared it would be true.

  • narutomania

“As you’ll see, the Nazi started screaming when the interview began and never stopped.”

Because he suffers from a mental affliction, that is why.

    • billbear1961

      Because he’s EVIL.

      • narutomania

Agreed. His mental affliction is rampant evilness.

  • Gareth

Asshole can’t even pronounce ‘patriot’ right.
Is he borrowing Giuliani’s dentures for the interview?

    • TexasBoy

      Maybe he is craving Apricots?

  • worstcultever

Even as the media tut-tuts this evil, they go right along mainstreaming it.

  • Skeptical_Inquirer

OT but in a way not: They looked at the genome of one of the earliest inhabitants of Britain.

“A cutting-edge scientific analysis shows that a Briton from 10,000 years ago had dark brown skin and blue eyes.

Researchers from London’s Natural History Museum extracted DNA from Cheddar Man, Britain’s oldest complete skeleton, which was discovered in 1903.”

    • Karl Dubhe

IIRC the mutation that led to white skin only came about in the last 7-8 thousand years. 🙂 None of our most distant ancestors were white. Is it any wonder the Nazis don’t like science?

    • greenmanTN

Cheddar Man isn’t from Wisconsin? You learn something new every day.

    • Dazzer

You should have seen the science-denying, PC-decrying right-wingers in the comments section of the more lunatic conservative papers yesterday.

It was a joy to behold. They couldn’t get their heads round the fact that the original Britons were black with blue eyes.

My favourite, unironic, sincere response from a Britain First supporter is “Of course he was black. He was an immigrant, wasn’t he. We don’t even know if he was born here.”

    • ChrisMorley

The BBC report whitewashes the scientific DNA evidence.

His skin was either black, or ‘very dark brown’.
His hair was dark and curly.

‘The team homed in on genes known to be linked to skin colour, hair colour and texture, and eye colour. For skin tone, there are a handful of genetic variants linked to reduced pigmentation, including some that are very widespread in European populations today. However, Cheddar Man had “ancestral” versions of all these genes, strongly suggesting he would have had “dark to black” skin tone, but combined with blue eyes.’

‘The results pointed to a Middle Eastern origin for Cheddar Man, suggesting that his ancestors would have left Africa, moved into the Middle East and later headed west into Europe, before eventually crossing the ancient land bridge called Doggerland which connected Britain to continental Europe.
Today, about 10% of white British ancestry can be linked to this ancient population.’

  • TexasBoy

Has Trump endorsed him, yet? He seems to be the type of guy the President wants in congress. Loyal to the exclusion of everything else.

  • Jmdintpa

self proclaimed Nazis should be shot by firing squad or handed a live grenade with pin pulled

  • greenmanTN

From what I understand (and please correct me if I’m wrong) he is running in a heavily Democratic district and is very unlikely to win. If that is true, it’s actually to our advantage in the long run for someone to yet again demonstrate the hateful ideology of the Republican Party, highlight their association with white supremacy and Nazism.

They are tarring their own party, which is ultimately good for us IMO.

    • Gigi

Correct. He ran unopposed, which is why he’s on the ticket. And he has about a 0.01% chance of winning. I generally get upset when assholes like this are given a platform to spew their hate and bigotry but in this case I’m willing to give them a pass. I find it amusing to watch the Republicans scrambling to disavow him, pretending that they’re nothing like him. They are of course. Every thinking person knows that.

    • Vista-Cruiser

Don’t count this guy out. Yes, that district has traditionally voted Democratic. However, it’s very blue collar and white, and it has consistently elected to Congress one of the most conservative Democrats anywhere. If the Democratic Party mishandles this, a Republican Nazi (pardon the redundancy) could end up in Congress.

  • Gustav2

“America First Committee” is that Charles Lindbergh’s committee that wasn’t Nazi, too?!

  • Acronym Jim

The Anchor’s statement starting at about 1:25 and ending at 1:41 gave me a hearty guffaw and immediately brought to mind a Jeff Foxworthy routine, but without the “you might be” part.

  • Pizza009

  • ceeenbee

In alabama, a sheriff who happens to be gay isn’t allowed to run as a republican but, in Illinois, the republicans have no trouble allowing a racist, nazi, holocaust denier to run unopposed for Congress?

Do I have republican priorities straight?

    • Ben in Oakland

Actually, the Republicans in Illinois have totally disavowed him.

      • licuado de platano

“Disavowal” is like “thoughts and prayers”. They should have defended their spot on the ballot with a “normal” candidate.

        • Ben in Oakland

          Haha! Gotcha!

For the GOP, this IS normal.

    • Paula

      Pretty much!

    • JCF

      Straight AND narrow!

  • Acronym Jim

I hate that the word “patriot” has been appropriated and besmirched by these traitors to democratic values, but with the rise of the “Freeman” movement in the late 70s (that specifically targeted rural areas), in this case we HAVE seen this coming.

  • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

This might be better if you see Lindsay’s whole tweet. Anyway big surprise that she has a hardon for the military

    • bzrd

We have two days, Memorial Day and Armistice Day, now veterans day, to honor past and present military.
We spend more money on the military than the other countries combined all the while putin says his war is cyber war which he is winning and the dump wants more money wasted on the military

  • Mark Née Fuzz

Christ. I can’t finish the interview. As it is, I’ve nearly tossed my tablet out the window.

  • 🐾vorpal🐾

    How do you denounce nazis?
Just mention Jews and LGBT people, and then sit back and let them do the work for you.

  • billbear1961

THIS is the GOP–THIS is TRUMPISM, and it can have no legitimate authority in a genuine democracy!

With wild conspiracy theories, they seek to overthrow the rule of law to save their RACIST and TRAITOROUS dictator!!

March and demand access to the Defiler’s financial history; secure elections; an end to voter suppression, to the stacking of the courts with fascist fanatics, to the weaponization of law enforcement, to the GOP’s relentless ASSAULT on the rule of law; ironclad protection for the Mueller investigation!!

The Sovereign Authority is YOURS, at all times, not solely on election day–EXERCISE it while you still CAN!!

Bend them to your Sovereign WILL or DEPOSE them from office!!

Running extreme candidates like this would ordinarily help Democrats….but in today’s political environment, some folks see a White Power revolution in the making and there might be enough of them to swing more than a few elections. The 2018 election cycle is going to be a major sign of the future direction of this country.

  • TexasBoy

This is the face of the modern GOP, folks. This pretty much sums up every single Republican in office from the Reagan era forward.

  • Thoroughly disgusting on every level. I cannot understand how anyone can live with so much hatred, fury, and denial. And I work in theatre!

  • kareemachan

Hasn’t drumpster approved of him yet?

  • Kruhn

I wonder if CNN wants to emulate pro wrestling. In pro wrestling a character generates heat through interviews and having Nazis such as this are just as useful. Why do we need to interview a politician so beyond the pale? What does it do to expand the public discourse except to create a WWE-type hype.

We are appalled and the deplorables eat it up as another shot at the “evil fake news”. CNN, you’re enabling this monster by giving it a platform just like you enabled The Mangled Apricot Hellbeast. Shame on you.

  • boatboy_srq

They are precisely who were thought they were.

Although the paraphernalia and the goose-stepping are surprisingly quaint.

I read somewhere an analysis of the new Star Wars with a refutation of the general criticism. It discussed how the First Order is seen as unoriginal (Star Destroyers, planet-killing weapons, etc etc) and pointed out that if you view the Empire as Nazis, and the First Order as Neonazis, it makes sense: bigger, louder, grander versions of all the things that supposedly made the ancien regime great, with the followers all dressing up in exaggerated uniform/costume. In that light it’s a surprisingly subtle critique of modern society and politics – although most of the dudebro fanboys are as unlikely to get it in this case is they were with Starship Troopers.

  • Jack

    Easiest interview ever.

I can’t even imagine why she wanted to interject.

I’ll say one thing positive: we were born the same year and I don’t have anything near his vigor.

    • kareemachan

I’m sure you just use your energy on better things. 😉

  • The_Wretched

Turn the sound off and just look at his face at 4 random points in the clip. Pure hate and disgust. And he’s what sells to republicans?! What a worthless person.

      Where do they cockus?

  • David J

CNN’s ratings SO LOW they just HAD to do something to get people to pay attention. I wonder how “nice” an interview Fox and Friends will give this guy tomorrow, and when he loses the election in the fall, Trump will call him up and ask him to join the White House staff. Think I’m kidding? Just wait !

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

Well now, it would appear a silkwood shower is in order after watching that. Funny, CNN never felt the need to be so stalwart when it came to Trump, go figure.

Have we heard a renunciation of this candidate from the GOP?

    I thought not.

  • Ninja0980

Put it bluntly, this is a guy who truly has no chance of winning given the district he is running in.
That is NOT the case for other areas and we should be focusing on those guys/gals, not this one.

  • Hank

If the Rethuglicans had ANY sense of MORALITY, they would deny him the opportunity to run under their banner!!!! ….. As they should have done to Herr Drumpf!!!

  • Dana Chilton

She did exactly what this man wanted her to do. No one watching this will think she was genuine when she said she was presenting facts just so the viewers can decide for themselves especially after her warning that his views are offensive. It played into the narrative that he’s the “lone truth teller” and that the media is against him and that he’s somehow a martyr. He needs to be taken seriously. He’s dangerous and she didn’t take this interview seriously. Did she ask him what attracted him to the GOP? No. Did she ask him about his “America First” organization? No. Did she calmly rebut his twisted view of reality with strong confident facts? No. Did she connect his views with the current rhetoric being heard on the right? No.

    • Ann Kah

I cannot understand why that “lone truth teller” stuff gets any traction. I’ve heard three different people express to me in recent months that “FOX is the only station that tells the truth”. They can’t seem to understand that if ALL the other stations tell the other side of the story, they’re fools not to pay attention.

If they went to the doctor and didn’t like his diagnosis, and the second opinion agreed with the first, and the third, fourth, and fifth also agreed, they’re the kind of people who would choose doctor number six because he finally gave them the diagnosis they wanted…but then they’d pretend that he was the only “truth teller”, and go to their early death praising the single doctor who got it wrong.

      • Dana Chilton

It feeds a narrative they’ve chosen to believe. I have no doubts there are folks who would chose that lone “truth teller” doctor.

  • Oscarlating Wildely

Oh, soon these assholes will all be pushing up daffodils. Soon. Not soon enough.

  • liondon#iamnotatraitor

  • JWC

Oh Fuck off ..lock him up

  • Guys like Jones are an excellent reminder of why it’s pointless to try to shame conservatives about their racism: They’re perfectly fine with it and eager to see more.

  • Jim Howland

This is the new GOP. If you’re still a member, this is your team. If you’re happy with that, stay. If not, why are you still there?

  • Ore Carmi

Why the fuck even interview him? Has CNN learned nothing? The media is hugely to blame for Trump’s win.
