Putin Regrets Awarding Tillerson Russia’s Order Of Friendship: He’s Fallen In With The Wrong Company

Reuters reports:

Vladimir Putin took a jab at Rex Tillerson on Thursday, joking that the U.S. Secretary of State had “fallen in with the wrong company” since he had awarded him a Russian state honor for his contribution to Russian-U.S. relations.

Hopes of detente in Moscow’s relations with Washington under Donald Trump, who had praised President Putin before winning the White House, have faded as the countries have imposed sanctions and expelled diplomats in recent months.

Addressing a U.S. citizen at a plenary session of an economic forum in the far eastern city of Vladivostok, Putin said: “We awarded your compatriot Mr. Tillerson the Order of Friendship, but he seems to have fallen in with the wrong company and to be steering in the other direction.”

“I hope that the wind of cooperation, friendship and reciprocity will eventually put him on the right path,” Putin added, drawing cheers from the crowd.

When even Putin thinks you suck ass.

    • b-b-but Jr’s emails!

He did mention the “wind” of cooperation…

    • Ranger One

The funny is that Trump even thought of him as a bud.

I don’t believe a word that comes out of the man’s mouth. Anything he says must be taken with a pound or two of salt.

Russia has been lying to the world for centuries…give or take a few minutes.

Putin distancing himself from anyone is just cover for that compromised person.

Putin made the same error Trump did: he assumed that leadership of the US was like leadership of Russia – the president has absolute power. Poutine didn’t take into account that while the vast, and I mean VAST, majority of the GOP are asshats, most of them still hate Russia.

    • PeterC

It just reminds us all why Trump and Putin got along for a while. Both have similar styles of leadership; “Me” is in complete control because “I” only am importaqnt. So Sad.

      • Bongstar420

at least putin is more intelligent and knowledgeable
trump is just an arrogant halfwit

    • Gerry Fisher

We’re buffered from this shit show–so far–by the basic governmental design created by our founders. It was designed so that no single branch had too much power. Although I’ve been shocked at how many people are in on this grift, it is NOT the entire Congress and judiciary branch…or the grunts who make up the bulk of career civil servants.

    • Bongstar420

putin doesn’t have absolute power as pres in russia. If he has real power, its that 100,000,000,000 they say he has hidden away. If not, its the other rich in his country who pull the strings.

  • Tawreos

I guess he didn’t realize that his puppets had other strings attached to them as well.

    • Mikey

    • Miji

The trick isn’t so much fun when everyone can see the strings.

    • Bongstar420

Who isn’t bought and paid for?

Money rules. Not intelligence, competence, honesty, and diligence.

Commoners hate the idea that their opinions are irrelevant because their IQ is too low. Thats why we get losers like donald trump being allowed to have billions and be president.

  • BeaverTales

Russia doesn’t want peace, they want power.

In a hundred years or so, they will probably be the most technologically advanced nation on the planet, with unlimited natural resources and the ability to wage war on any nation they wish.

Russia has always played the long game and usually wins it.

    • Todd20036

Only if people are given incentives to do better.

The reason Russia is technologically inferior is that geniuses in that country aren’t allowed to be rich

      • BeaverTales

They are also inferior technologically because they are xenophobic and don’t embrace ethnic pluralism… that idea failed when the Soviet Union failed.

    • Halou

They didn’t win their ‘long game’ in the early 90s.

      • BeaverTales

The Soviet Union was never Russia. The subjugated Muslim, Baltic and Balkan states never bought into the Russian identity. The USSR only lasted 75 years… that’s just a blink of time in their history.

A Russian Empire has been around for almost 1200 years in a variety of different forms….they became the largest nation on earth because unlike Alexander, Napoleon, Hitler or Genghis Khan, they didn’t try to conquer the known world in only one generation.

The British Empire was also ‘long game’ until their military resources ran out and they embraced democratic rule. Britain only became a united nation 500 years ago, and is unlikely to last much longer.

    • Karl Dubhe

How long ago was it that your government reps were openly discussing how you’d rule the entire planet for the rest of time? 🙂

In life, you give tit and the owner who employed you gets the tat.

So your common douche can enjoy things they don’t deserve…if you deserve what you have, you made it with your own two hands and didn’t get help from others. The more others were involved, the less excess you deserve.

Rex’s installment was deliberate to have the Crimea sanctions that affected Rosneft’s deal with Exxon lifted. Point blank and period. Second to digital campaign guru Parscale of my list of people I most want in handcuffs at the end of Mueller’s sweep this man is second.

  • Ranger One

    Putin needs to dump Trump.

  • canoebum

If he thinks Tillerson is a compatriot of anyone here except the 1%ers, Putin really has no idea how things work in America.

    • Bongstar420

The problem with the world is the 1%ers are not in power.
People are still brainwashed into thinking wealth is a qualifier

      1% = +135 IQ

      1% in money = $450,000/year
There are 14,000,000 millionaires on the planet
There are 72,000,000 people with +135 IQ

Now you see how power is consolidated and how merit is perverted by money

  • bambinoitaliano

I would not take anything Putin said at face value. It’s calculative to cause confusion and further muddying his involvement in bringing down the US. There is no sense of trying to decipher anything coming out of his mouth. He is one prisoner you want to treat like he is Hannibal Lecter. Bound and tied in a maximum security isolation booth with IV feeding tube till he dies.

    • Gerry Fisher

And even THEN, keep a close watch on your paper clips.

    • Miji

Exactly. While I think Putin has probably soured on Trump and his antics, I think a lot of this is just an act so they don’t seem so cozy.

    • Bongstar420

The manipulations seem transparent to me. Hannibal isn’t so clever anyways.

So, maybe the problem is a lack of perceptive genius in the population…or more likely, a lack of submission and recognition to it by the commoner.

  • Halou

Putin crying that America’s foreign policy man is, surprisingly, putting American foreign policy priorities ahead of those of Russia. Wrong crowd my arse.

The Exxonasaurus Rex is a rare case of someone in the Trump administration doing the job they were given not the nudge-nudge, wink-wink sort of job he is expected to do without being explicitly told. Not saying he is performing to a high standard, but he is at least performing.

All this talk of friendship, cooperation, diplomacy, fairness, and more is such utter bullshit. All they care about is money. “If you help me to make tons of unearned money, they you’re my friend. If not, you’re useless to me, dead to me.”

Now you know their status is not merit based.
