The Coyote Of Central Park

After several weeks of sightings, the Central Park coyote has been caught on tape as he played on the frozen surface of The Pond. Photos here. Nobody knows how he got onto the island, but he’s not the first – in 2006 another coyote died shortly after being captured in the park.

Koala Rescue As Australia’s Fires Rage

As wildfires continue to ravage Australia, where there have already been almost 200 deaths, koala bears are approaching humans to beg for water. In the clip below, a firefighter comes to the rescue of a dazed koala. The Australian prime minister is calling arsonsists who are suspected of starting some of the fires “mass murderers”.
