Still the home of the Army National Guard, the building also hosts lots of arts shows. This is the back side on Lexington Avenue. The front side on Park Avenue is fancier. I vaguely recall having gone to a circuit party here during Stonewall 25 in 1994, but maybe that was a different armory. Lousy party anyway.

Yesterday I was stopped three separate times on Third Avenue by young men asking, “Excuse me, sir. Are you Jewish?” That’s a fairly common Upper East Side occurrence if you are an adult male and the Mitzvah Tank is parked nearby. But this time it was the Sukkah Mobile. Never saw one on wheels before.
