Morning View – 7th Regiment Armory

Still the home of the Army National Guard, the building also hosts lots of arts shows. This is the back side on Lexington Avenue. The front side on Park Avenue is fancier. I vaguely recall having gone to a circuit party here during Stonewall 25 in 1994, but maybe that was a different armory. Lousy party anyway.

Russia Denounces U.S. For Criticism Of St. Petersburg’s “Don’t Say Gay” Bill

A spokesman for the Russian government has denounced the U.S. State Department for a statement made in opposition to St. Petersburg’s pending ban on all LGBT-related media and speech. “We view with bewilderment the American side’s attempts to interfere, what’s more, publicly, in the lawmaking process,” foreign ministry representative for human rights, Konstantin Dolgov, told the Interfax news agency. I’m Gonna Git You, Sukkah

Yesterday I was stopped three separate times on Third Avenue by young men asking, “Excuse me, sir. Are you Jewish?” That’s a fairly common Upper East Side occurrence if you are an adult male and the Mitzvah Tank is parked nearby. But this time it was the Sukkah Mobile. Never saw one on wheels before.
