Sanders And Rubio Win Minnesota

Marco Rubio won’t be going home empty-handed tonight after all, having been projected to win the Minnesota caucus. Earlier tonight he appeared on CNN where he told a highly skeptical Jake Tapper that he intends to continue his race to the convention. Also winning Minnesota is Bernie Sanders, his third win tonight after Vermont and Oklahoma.

Sanders And Cruz Win Oklahoma Primary

Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz are projected to win the Oklahoma primary, giving both their second win tonight. The Oklahoma result is the first so far to defy at least some of the polling, although it was predicted to be closer there than in most states.

Clinton & Cruz Win Texas Primary

Ted Cruz won his home state of Texas, which will likely be his only win tonight. Also winning Texas, as predicted, is Hillary Clinton, who has now won six of seven races called so far. We’re more than halfway through Super Tuesday and the pollsters have been dead-on.

Trump Wins Virginia, Hillary Takes Arkansas

So far there have been no surprises, no upsets. Rubio did put up respectable numbers in Virginia, but its looking like he’ll go home empty-handed tonight. Not so, perhaps, for Ted Cruz, who holds a comfortable lead in Texas at this writing. Former Arkansas First Lady Hillary Clinton coasted to an easy win in her former home state, as expected.

Hillary & Trump Win Alabama & Tennessee

The networks are calling Alabama and Tennessee for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, bringing both their projected win totals to four and three states, respectively. Keep an eye on Oklahoma where Clinton is currently trailing Sanders.  UPDATE: Trump has added Massachusetts to his win column.

FIRST PROJECTIONS: Hillary Clinton Wins Georgia & Virginia Primaries, Bernie Sanders Wins Vermont

Almost immediately after the polls there closed, CNN called the states of Georgia and Virgina for Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders is projected to win his home state of Vermont. No surprises so far. Donald Trump currently has a 3-point lead over Marco Rubio in Virginia. UPDATE: CNN has called Georgia for Trump.
