NYPD Uses Sonic Weapon On OWS

Twitter is lighting up with OWS reports that the NYPD is using a handheld sonic cannon known as an L-RAD or Long-Range Acoustic Device. “Long-Range Acoustic Devices (L-RADs) send harmful, pain inducing tones over longer distances and are rarely deployed for crowd control purposes.” Note: The below clip doesn’t show the weapon being used.
