Via Media Matters.

MSNBC host Thomas Roberts got a little potty-mouthed this afternoon, drawing snickers across the Twitterverse. Roberts later apologized on-air for his language.

After the second F-bomb, MSNBC interrupted coverage to apologize and announce that they were going to a seven-second delay. And then they cut back to yet another F-bomb, much to the delight of the wingnuts on Twitchy.

Last night openly gay Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball to talk about the “rapid rise of LGBT civil rights.” He did a great job.  Chris Matthews: “Maybe you’ll be governor some day.”

Openly gay Salon senior writer Steve Kornacki will return to MSNBC to anchor the weekend slot held by Chris Hayes, who is moving to the weeknight position to be vacated by Ed Shultz.  Kornacki previously co-hosted MSNBC’s The Cycle. MSNBC has the exclusive.

Last night MSNBC host Chris Matthews called out Log Cabin head R. Clarke Cooper for supporting a party that opposes LGBT rights. Cooper wasn’t having it and points out that his group fought to have anti-gay language removed from the 2012 platform during the Republican Convention. That attempt actually made the platform worse, according to one Log Cabin member.

Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod shaved off his famed mustache on national television this morning after donations pushed his epilepsy research fund over $1M. Axelrod hasn’t been clean-shaven in over 40 years.
