Londoners woke up today to find that vandals had splashed oil and left their website address on six Olympic billboards posted by BP. Numerous other billboards in the transit system have been similarly defaced with smears of oil. Lots more photos at the first link.

The United States Olympic Committee has decided not to bid on the 2022 Winter Games. Early contenders to host had been Denver and Lake Tahoe. The United States hasn’t hosted a Summer Games since 1996 or a Winter Games since 2002, meaning there will be at least a 22-year gap between games on U.S. soil. The U.S. has been embarrassed …
