As some of you are already aware, I’ve begun banning the accounts of commenters who use the “hide comment history” function. While that feature is arguably useful to those who don’t want JMG readers to see which other JS-Kit supported sites they visit, recent rampant sock-puppeting has forced this action.

According to an article on the front page of Conservapedia, the Christianist version of Wikipedia, my posting (without comment) of an anti-evolution clip is “sulking” evidence of my inability to answer its “15 questions.” Whatevs. I only mention this because we’re already seeing the trolls trickle in. Be advised.

Yesterday Dan Savage posted the above left photo from 1982, saying, “Who am I to criticize anybody’s style?” At least Dan’s hair appears to be low maintenance. Accomplishing my 1977 feathered swoop required at least thirty minutes with a blow dryer and a round brush. Not to mention enough Aqua Net to eat a sizable ozone hole over Central Florida. …
