Last week Sen. David “Diaper Boy” Vitter easily won the GOP primary in Louisiana despite having been named in 2007 as a regular patron of the famed DC Madam. Vitter later admitted to patronizing prostitutes and committing adultery, but since he’s a hard-right conservative “sanctity of marriage” defender, the GOP has given him a pass. Former Virginia governor and present DNC chairman Tim Kaine created this clip ostensibly to answer questions from the LGBT community, but mostly he just cites recent successes on our behalf by the Obama administration. There is no mention of DOMA, but Kaine does promise that Democrats “will do everything in their power” to pass ENDA.

I just got an email from the DNC’s Organizing For America asking if I would send a thank you letter to Senator Senior Name for standing up to Wall Street. It concludes, “Please show Sen. Name that support for reform isn’t going unnoticed.” I’ll wait to see how Sen. Name votes on DADT.
