JMG reader Bob sends us the above shot of today’s Denver Post, which shows House Speaker Mark Ferrandino kissing his partner. Colorado’s civil unions bill is headed for the governor’s desk and ceremonies may commence as soon as May.

Today vote was by voice and a recorded vote will take place tomorrow. The House gave initial approval to Senate Bill 11 and will take a formal, recorded vote Tuesday on the measure, which already has passed the Senate. Two weeks ago Colorado’s civil unions bill passed in the state Senate by a vote of 34-21.  The bill now proceeds to the full state House.
