This is a parking meter on Commercial Street. Taped over the money slot is an envelope which reads, “Free parking. A random act of kindness. Have a great day! Pay it forward. Love is all you need.” There’s $3 in the envelope.

Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims will attend Bear Week in Provincetown and will hold a re-election fundraiser there next Tuesday afternoon. He knows his demo. Bear Week begins on Saturday.

This is a big shout-out to the many JMG readers who introduced themselves at Provincetown’s Bear Week. It was great meeting and chatting with all of you! I was especially pleased to finally meet Maryland state Rep. Luke Clippinger, who tipped us with many updates during that state’s marriage battle.  Bear Week 2014, here we come!
