The president looks rather tired to me. I imagine he hasn’t gotten much down time since events unfolded on Friday morning.

Some activists, most notably the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, have denounced the president because he won’t be personally appearing at the convention. Tomorrow morning Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will address the opening session. Numerous other State Department staffers will take part in seminars and panels throughout the week.

This morning a somber President Obama addressed the crowd awaiting his Florida campaign stop, telling them that the event was canceled and instead the nation should spend the day in prayer and reflection.
