Flight 1549 Tribute Goes Up Near Hudson

Kenneth Cole has put up this billboard over the West Side Highway near where Flight 1549 went down. Interestingly, it’s now being reported that the plane had engine trouble two days before going down in the Hudson and at that time the pilot (not Sullenberger) advised that an emergency landing might be necessary. LA ABC Station Refuses To Air PSAs About Gay Families: “Too Controversial”

Claiming the clips were too controversial to run during inauguration coverage, KABC-TV in Los Angeles refused to run public service announcements from Get To Know Us First, a group that promotes acceptance of LGBT families.
