Lara Trump Claims Donors Can “Easily Opt-Out” Of Having Their Donations Used To Pay Trump’s Legal Bills

RNC co-chair Lara Trump laughed it off when NBC News correspondent Garrett Haake asked about an arrangement that earmarks donations for a PAC that pays former President Donald Trump’s legal fees.

Lara Trump joked that anyone who hasn’t had to hire a lawyer deserves congratulations, and said people could “easily opt out” of the arrangement.

“If you do not want to contribute, you know, $124,600 of your money and you say, I don’t want that specific amount to go to Donald Trump’s legal bills, then you are very, you can very easily opt out.”
