The Meidas Touch reports:
Twenty-six House Democrats filed a complaint with Speaker Johnson’s office over his sponsorship of Pastor Jack Hibbs to serve as a Guest Chaplain for the House. Hibbs delivered the Opening Prayer to the House on January 30, 2024.
In the letter, they describe Hibbs as a “radical christian nationalist who helped fuel the January 6 insurrection and has a long record of spewing hateful vitriol towards non-christians, immigrants, and members of the LBGTQ community.”
The letter outlines in detail how Hibbs preached that it was “God’s will” for Trump to retain the presidency after he lost the 2020 election. Hibbs then attended the rally in DC on J6. Immediately after the attack, he went on TV and said, “This is what happens when you eject God from the courts and from the schools.”
