Manchester’s ABC News affiliate reports:
Gov. Chris Sununu said Thursday he would veto a piece of legislation that critics say could require New Hampshire schools to out LGBT children to their parents.
Supporters of the bill termed the “Parental Bill of Rights” said they’re trying to give parents more of a say in their children’s lives, while critics argue it could make the mental health crisis worse.
An amended version of the bill is heading to the full New Hampshire House and Senate for a vote. House Bill 1431 appeared to be dead earlier this week, but it was revived Thursday by Republican leadership.
