WSJ Has Trump’s Raunchy Birthday Card To Epstein

Newsweek reports:

President Donald Trump responded to a Wall Street Journal story published Thursday that revealed an alleged birthday letter sent by Trump to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday.

The letter bearing Donald Trump’s name, reviewed by the Journal, reportedly features several lines of typewritten text surrounded by the outline of a naked woman, sketched in marker. The illustration also includes two small arcs representing breasts, with Trump’s signature—a “Donald”—positioned below the waist, resembling pubic hair. The letter concludes: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

The president told the Journal on Tuesday, “This is not me. This is a fake thing. It’s a fake Wall Street Journal story,” he said. “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”

Earlier today Mediaite reported this:

Trump has personally called the editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal to try to get the paper to spike a story it is working on about Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, Status News reported on Thursday. The Trump administration has been reeling for more than a week after the Department of Justice concluded that the late child sex trafficker did not have the long-rumored client list many believed he had.

That finding was received by many of the president’s supporters as a slap in the face. Trump has pushed back on the criticisms, calling Epstein’s case “boring” while even stating that “only pretty bad people” still want to talk about the matter. The specifics of the call remain unclear, but it’s hard to imagine Trump voiced anything but outrage. It’s unclear whether Trump reached out to Rupert Murdoch, whose News Corporation owns The Journal.

The WSJ report is behind a paywall.
