Maryland Pastor Arrested On 20+ Child Sex Charges

Baltimore’s Fox affiliate reports:

A Gambrills man, who served as a pastor and worked as a teacher, has been arrested and charged with child sex abuse offenses. William Jones, 58, faces more than 20 charges, including felony sex abuse of a minor, third-degree sex offense, and multiple counts of second-degree assault.

On May 1, Anne Arundel County Police Officers responded to Elvaton Christian Academy in Millersville for a report of a sex offense complaint. Authorities met with the mother of a student who reported inappropriate sexual behavior by a former teacher. While they were on scene, police met with another parent who reported similar inappropriate sexual behavior towards her child.

The investigation uncovered that Jones, who was the Pastor of Jessup Baptist Church in Jessup and a teacher at Elvaton Christian Academy from 2020 to 2025, was the suspect of the abuse.
