The Washington Post reports:
Four Republican seats — enough to flip control of the lower chamber — are competitive this year. And Democrats are planning to hit them with all they’ve got.
The four districts are represented by Scott Perry [photo], a particularly vulnerable Congress member in a district that includes Harrisburg, the capital; Ryan Mackenzie, a freshman lawmaker in a district across the Lehigh Valley; Rob Bresnahan, a freshman lawmaker in a northeast district that includes Scranton; and Brian Fitzpatrick, a difficult-to-defeat Republican in a district north of Philadelphia.
Republicans hold 219 seats to Democrats’ 212, but with three vacant seats in Democratic districts and one vacant Republican seat, House Republicans were elected with a slimmer majority than they currently have. As a result, Democrats are feeling optimistic about their chances of winning a majority in 2026.
