Homocon Rioter Seeks To Formally Reject Pardon

Law & Crime reports:

A New Hampshire man who was found guilty of storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 is now working to ensure that he is not among the more than 1,500 rioters pardoned by President Donald Trump. Jason Riddle, a Navy veteran who infamously chugged from a bottle of wine during the melee, said this week that he has involved the junior senator from his state to help him formally refuse the pardon.

At the time Trump’s pardon was issued, Riddle had already served a 90-day jail sentence for the riot and was currently on probation, consequences he said were well-deserved given his actions that day. Riddle, a failed 2024 Republican Party candidate for a seat in New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District, said one good thing came from his crime: his rehabilitation from alcohol addiction.

Manchester’s ABC affiliate reports:

“I caused a lot of hurt by being down there. I hurt a lot of people along the way, I said a lot of nasty things,” said Jason Riddle, who is a Navy veteran, told News 9 in an exclusive interview. “I have to acknowledge that reality, and part of that is not taking any sort of pardon or pass or anything from Trump that denies that reality, because once you do that, I’m right back where I started.”

At the time, investigators said that Riddle was drinking a bottle of wine and had stolen a book on Senate procedure. He eventually pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and three years of probation. After the pardons were issued, Riddle said he emailed the Pardon Office, asking for it to be refused. However, now, he said, they realized they needed the assistance of the Congressional Delegation.

Democratic US Sen. Maggie Hassan says she is working with the Pardon Office on Riddle’s behalf.

Riddle first appeared here in January 2025 when he recounted that he first heard about his pardon while at the gym with his husband.
