Dem Resolution Would Condemn Racist Posts By Ogles

The Hill reports:

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) said Thursday he is planning to introduce a resolution condemning Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) for using offensive language towards fellow lawmakers, including comments he made against New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

Ogles previously accused Mamdani of supporting terrorism and urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to denaturalize and deport him. A week later, the Tennessee lawmaker referred to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) as the “dollar store Obama” in a social media post on X.

Yesterday Ogles petitioned Interior Sec. Doug Burgum to add Trump to Mount Rushmore.

Last week Ogles urged Pam Bondi to deport “communist Zohran ‘little muhammad’ Mamdani.”

Ogles, who has introduced a House resolution “authorizing” a third term for Trump, appeared here last month when he announced an investigation into the mayor of Nashville because he criticized ICE in a television interview.

Last year the FBI raided Ogles’ home over allegedly fraudulent campaign finance reports.

Also last year Ogles filed articles of impeachment against Kamala Harris hours after she formally announced her bid for president.
