CEO Of X Resigns After Chatbot’s Pro-Hitler Tirade

The Washington Post reports:

Linda Yaccarino, CEO of Elon Musk’s X, announced Wednesday that she is stepping down from the social media platform after two years in the position. Her departure comes a day after the platform’s artificial intelligence chatbot launched into an antisemitic tirade Tuesday and invoked Adolf Hitler. Yaccarino, who was hired by Musk after he bought the company formerly known as Twitter in 2022, did not give a reason for her departure Wednesday.

“When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company,” Yaccarino said in her Wednesday post. “I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.”
