Two Dozen Arrested At NYC Trump Tower Protest

The New York Daily News reports:

Protesters railing against ICE raids took over the lobby of Manhattan’s Trump Tower Monday, with police making at least 24 arrests as Mayor Adams warned that any demonstrations similar to what happened in Los Angeles over the weekend would “not be tolerated” in New York.

“The escalation of protests in Los Angeles over the last couple of days is unacceptable and will not be tolerated if attempted in our city,” said Adams at a late Monday afternoon press conference.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the NYPD has “at the mayor’s direction” developed plans to prepare for any potential anti-Trump protests in the city, with “the full resources of the New York City Police Department” on standby.
